Out of an abundance of caution, Bushface Ducks Inc. is issuing a voluntary recall for the Pirate Captain Bushface (SKU: DUCK-ARR-1971) manufactured between February and May of 2011.

During a routine quality audit, our team discovered that a supplier accidentally used high-tensile Kevlar-blend fibers for the Pirate Captain's miniature fabric beard instead of our soft, brushable polyester. Consequently, the miniature pirate beards possess a tensile strength capable of towing a medium-sized sedan.

While no severe injuries have occurred, we have received three separate reports of boat owners attempting to use the Pirate Captain Duck's beard as an anchor line during sudden storms. While the beard held impeccably, the plastic body of the duck was stretched to over eleven feet in length, distorting the classic Bushface proportions. Please return your Pirate Captains immediately for a replacement featuring standard, non-structural beard hair.
